Women’s Bantamweight champ Miesha Tate is going to defend her Strikeforce title belt for the first time this March.

With a six-bout win streak, she will face the currently undefeated Ronda Rousey.

The MMA women’s bantamweight title Miesha Tate vs Ronda Rousey fight video is set to take place on March 3, 2012 live at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, USA and on Showtime.

Miesha Tate, “Takedown”, from United States of America has a mixed martial arts record of 12 wins (3 by way of knock out, 5 by submission) and 2 losses. She’s the current Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion and her last fight was a 4th Round Submission win on Coenen vs Tate, July 2011.

While Ronda Rousey, “Rowdy”, also from United States of America has a mixed martial arts record of a perfect 4 wins (4 by submission). Her last fight was a 1st Round Submission win over Julia Budd, November 2011.

The Tate vs Rousey video will be a Strikeforce title match with Miesha’s belt at stake.

In Ronda’s previous bouts, three as an amateur and four as a pro, she finished all of her opponents the same way. She submitted them all by armbar in the first round.

On the other hand, Miesha hasn’t lost in her last five matches. In these victories, she defended her FCF Women’s Bantamweight title, became the Strikeforce 2010 Women’s Welterweight (135-lb) Tournament Winner and dethroned the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
