Light Heavyweight champ Jon Jones is going to defend his UFC title belt for the second time this December.
With a five-bout win streak, he will face former title holder Lyoto Machida who only won once in his last three matches.

While Lyoto Machida, “The Dragon”, from Brazil, the #6 Light Heavyweight in the world as ranked by the same site has a mixed martial arts record of 17 wins (6 by way of knock out, 2 by submission) and 2 losses. He’s a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and his last fight was a 2nd Round KO win on Couture vs Machida, April 2011.
The Jones vs Machida video will be an Ultimate Fighting Championship title match with Jon’s belt at stake.
A match between Jon and Rashad Evans was in the works for the second time and was targeted in this event. However, a lingering thumb injury by the latter prevented this from being made.
On the other hand, Lyoto was in talks to face the undefeated Phil Davis. However, the bout is no longer happening due to Phil needing more time to recover from knee surgery.
Now, Jones will defend his title against Machida. Can the champ defend his belt for the second time? Or will the challenger become a champion once again?
