The official weigh-in for the Cotto vs Margarito 2 happened at the Madison Square Garden in New York, New York, USA last December 2, 2011.

The main event will be a light middleweight title bout as Puerto Rican Miguel “Junito” Cotto defends his WBA World Super Welterweight Super Champion belt against Mexican Antonio “El Tornado de Tijuana” Margarito.
The weight limit for light middleweight is 154 pounds but a catchweight of 153 lbs was applied as per contract. The results were; Miguel weighed-in at 152.25 lbs. while Antonio tipped-in at 152.5.
