Georges St-Pierre was expected to make his seventh consecutive title defense in this event against Nick Diaz, but the challenger was pulled from the fight on September 7, 2011 due to multiple failed media appearances. Carlos Condit, who’s initially set to face B.J. Penn in the co-main event was promoted to face GSP.
Then, on September 8, BJ announced via Twitter that UFC President Dana White offered him a match he “cannot refuse” and will still be fighting in this event. Later that day, both BJ and White announced that the bout would be against Nick Diaz.
However, another major change had occurred in this event’s card as just over a week before his title defense against Condit, St-Pierre had to withdraw due to knee injury. Nick and BJ’s match was then promoted as the main event.
The UFC 137: Penn vs Diaz live stream will be available on PPV (Pay-Per-View) on October 29, 2011. You can also watch it live at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
B.J. Penn fought to a Draw against Jon Fitch in February 2011 while Nick Diaz is on a ten-fight win streak after a 1st Round TKO win over Paul Daley last April.
The Main Card doesn’t feature any championship bout.
On the BJ Penn vs Nick Diaz fight video, BJ faces Nick in a welterweight match.
While on the Cheick Kongo vs Matt Mitrione fight video, Cheick goes against Matt in a heavyweight bout.
Also on the main bouts are; Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs Roy Nelson fight video, Scott Jorgensen vs Jeff Curran and Hatsu Hioki vs George Roop.
Some of the prelims are going to be aired on Spike TV and the others on Facebook Stream.
On October 29, watch the UFC 137 Penn vs Diaz live stream online on pay-per-view subscription and on some cable providers like on Balls Channel in the Philippines (Oct. 30, morning) for free on fight event.
