Former two-division UFC champ BJ Penn looks to win this match after coming off a draw in his last bout.
He will face former Strikeforce welterweight title holder Nick Diaz who’s making a return to the UFC.
The MMA welterweight BJ Penn vs Nick Diaz fight video is set to take place on October 29, 2011 live at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA and on PPV (Pay-Per-View).

While Nick Diaz, also from United States of America, the #6 Welterweight in the world as ranked by the same site has a mixed martial arts record of 25 wins (13 by way of knock out, 8 by submission), 7 losses and 1 no contest. He’s a former IFC, WEC and Strikeforce Welterweight Champion. His last fight was a 1st Round TKO win on Diaz vs Daley, April 2011.
The Penn vs Diaz video will be an Ultimate Fighting Championship non-title match.
Nick was originally scheduled to headline the card as the challenger to Georges St-Pierre’s UFC Welterweight Championship title, but he was pulled from the bout on the 7th of September due to multiple failed media appearances.
He was then replaced by Carlos Condit, who’s initially set to face BJ in the co-main event.
Then on the 8th of September, BJ announced via Twitter that Dana White offered him a fight he “cannot refuse” and will still be fighting at UFC 137. Both BJ and White announced later that day that the bout would be against Nick.
Another change took place in the card just over a week prior to this event as GSP had to withdraw due to knee injury. Nick and BJ’s bout was then promoted as the main event.
