Bellator 55 MMA Event

The 55th Bellator MMA event is coming up this October 2011! This event will showcase the second round of the bantamweight tournament to be held over the duration of Season Five.

Bellator 55 (LV) is scheduled to happen on October 22, 2011. Watch it live at the Cocopah Resort and Casino in Yuma, Arizona, USA and on MTV2.

The fight card features the semifinal round in the Season Five Bantamweight Tournament.

For the semifinal match-ups; Alexis Vila vs. Marcos Galvao and Ed West vs. Eduardo Dantas.

Then, on the Christian M’Pumbu vs. Travis Wiuff, Christian faces Travis in a light heavyweight match.

While on the Ricardo Tirloni vs. Steve Gable, Ricardo goes against Steve in a lightweight match.

This event also includes non-tournament Local Feature Fights on varied weight divisions; Richard Hale vs. Carlos Flores (Light Heavyweight), Edgar Garcia vs. Jacob Ortiz (Middleweight), Erin Beach vs. Roscoe Jackson (Lightweight), Nick Piedmont vs. Jade Porter (Featherweight), Steve Steinbeiss vs. Dano Moore (Middleweight) and Cesar Avila vs. Efrain Escudero (Lightweight).

The local featured fights are going to be aired on Spike TV.

Tirloni defeated Gable via Submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:54 in round 2.
