The ninth day of the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship tournament was held last September 25, 2011.
After a 61-75 loss to Jordan in the semifinals, the Philippine national basketball faced South Korea in the battle for 3rd place game at the Wuhan Sports Centre in Wuhan, Hubei, China.
Korea defeated Smart Gilas Pilipinas with a final score of 68-70.
Sungmin Cho scored a team-high 20 points while Joo-Sung Kim added 14 with 9 rebounds and Sekeun Oh, 9 with 9 boards.
On a losing effort, Marcus Douthit scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 22 rebounds.
