Former Light Heavyweight champ Mauricio Rua is going to fight inside the octagon once again after losing his belt in his last bout.
He will face another former champ Forrest Griffin who won his last two matches.

While Forrest Griffin from United States of America, the #6 Light Heavyweight in the world as ranked by the same site has a mixed martial arts record of 18 wins (3 by way of knock out, 7 by submission) and 5 losses. He’s The Ultimate Fighter Season 1 Light Heavyweight Winner and also a former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. His last fight was a Unanimous Decision win on Griffin vs Franklin, February 2011.
The Shogun vs Griffin 2 video will be an Ultimate Fighting Championship non-title match.
In their first match-up at UFC 76 almost four years ago, Forrest defeated UFC debutant Mauricio via 3rd round submission.
Coming into their first meeting, Rua was widely regarded as the top light heavyweight fighter in the world and considered a heavy favorite to win. However, Griffin dominated him for the majority of the fight and got submitted by a rear naked choke in the final seconds of the third round.
Almost four years later, they will finally meet again.
