The Miami Heat escaped with a two-point victory in game 3 of the 2011 NBA Finals.
Here’s a quick recap. Miami built a decent lead in the first half of that game but the Dallas Mavericks kept closing in as they surged into a 17-3 run completed by a Shawn Marion layup that tied the game at 57-apiece with 4:36 left in the third quarter.
Even though the momentum seemed shifted to Dallas, the Heat built a lead once again coming into the fourth. In the last quarter of regulation, Miami continues to stay ahead while the Mavs kept coming back.
Then with less than a minute left and the game tied at 86, Chris Bosh made a left-wing jump shot to take a 2-point lead. The last shot was missed by Dirk Nowitzki that should have tied the ball game and send it to overtime.

It was a very close ball game once again in the end but the Miami Heat came out as the winners in that game.
Game 4 is a crucial game to win for both clubs. If the Heat wins this one, they will have a 3-1 lead and a huge momentum as they will only be a victory away from capturing the NBA Championship trophy while the Dallas Mavericks will have to win three straight.
If the Mavs win, the series will be tied at 2-2 then it’s anybody’s title to win.
Nowitzki is performing well for Dallas but he really needs more help from his teammates. Can Miami’s Big Three capitalize with their athletic advantage against the veteran Mavs?

The Mavericks defeated the Heat with a final score of 86-83. Series tied at 2-2.
Dirk Nowitzki scored a team-high 21 points with 11 rebounds while playing through a case a flu, and a 101-degree fever. Jason Terry added 17, Shawn Marion, 16, Tyson Chandler, 13 with 16 boards and Deshawn Stevenson, 11.
On a losing effort, Dwyane Wade scored a game-high 32 points.
