Last May 7, 2011 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao successfully defended his WBO World Welterweight title belt against Shane Mosley via lopsided Unanimous Decision.
The judges scored the bout, 120-107, 120-108 and 119-108, all in favor of Manny. Shane was knocked down once in the third round and was left dazed but managed to stand up.
Mosley floored Pacquiao in the round ten with a push, but referee Kenny Bayless inexplicably ruled it a knockdown. None of the judges seemed to have bought it based from the scores. Video replays showed that Manny was throwing a punch off balance, had his right foot stepped on by Shane’s left foot and went down with a little help from Shane’s right hand.
Bayless apologized to Manny after the fight for the mistake.
