It’s this month of the year again and it’s time for another run towards the championship title as the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball college teams that successfully made it through the season are all ready to play in this tournament.
It’s time for the 2011 March Madness!
The 2011 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament is set to start on March 15, 2011 with 68 schools filling up the bracket to play in a single-elimination format. Updates in their positions are going to be made as the matches go on.
This year’s March Madness championship game will be held on April 4, 2011 at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, USA.
The 2011 NCAA Basketball Tournament bracket has been released that includes the complete team rankings.
Here are the 2011 top seeded teams in the their respective regions.
The 2010 NCAA Champions Duke Blue Devils are top seed for the West Regional, the Pittsburgh Panthers for Southeast, Kansas Jayhawks at Southwest and the Ohio State Buckeyes for the East as well as the tournament’s top seed overall.
This is the first time that a total of 68 teams will enter the March Madness tournament. The last four at-large teams selected and the four lowest ranked automatic qualifiers will play in the “First Four” Round.
