The third Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts event hosted in cooperation with a US military base is coming up this January.
In the main event, Evan Dunham will face MMA veteran Melvin Guillard in a lightweight match. In Dunham’s last bout, he received his first career loss in the hands of former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk by a controversial Split Decision.
While in the co-main event, The Ultimate Fighter season 10 contestant Matt Mitrione will try his best to protect his undefeated professional record against Tim Hague who was already released by the UFC twice before.
Because of Hague’s two recent explosive knockout finishes over a UFC vet and a TUF vet, he was signed by the organization for the third time.
The UFC Fight Night 23: Fight For The Troops 2 live stream will be available for FREE on Spike TV video or online on January 22, 2011. You can also watch it live at the Fort Hood, near Killeen, Texas, USA.
Also on this event’s fight card, Mark Hominick, Pat Barry and Cole Miller will be up against George Roop, Joey Beltran and Matt Wiman respectively.
Six preliminary fights will also be held headlined by undefeated guillotine specialist Cody McKenzie who won eleven out of his twelve fights via submission and a lone TKO win. It will be aired online for free on Facebook.com.
