It’s time for the Episode 2 of the UFC’s reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs Team Koscheck featuring lightweight division mixed martial arts fighters after a successful airing of the first one last week.
The TUF Season 12 Episode 2 with a title of “Well-Played” is scheduled to air on September 22, 2010 at 10 PM ET / PT live on Spike TV.
Two MMA stars, current UFC Welterweight Champion, Georges St-Pierre, and top welterweight title contender, Josh Koscheck are on the reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter on its Season 12 as coaches for the first time for the Team GSP and Team Koscheck fighters.
Here’s a recap on what happened on the TUF 12 premier. UFC President Dana White welcomed the 28 lightweight division mixed martial arts fighters. He then announced the return of the wildcard format like last season. After that, elimination bouts proceeded, 14 matches.
The results were; Marc Stevens defeated T.J. O’Brien, Spencer Paige defeated Steve Magdaleno, Nam Phan defeated Mike Budnik, Andy Main defeated Jason Brenton, Jonathan Brookins defeated Ran Weathers, Sako Chivitchian defeated Toby Grear, Jeff Lentz defeated Daniel Head.
Then, Alex Caceres defeated Paul Barrow, Michael Johnson defeated Pablo Garza, Aaron Wilkinson defeated Mike Richman, Kyle Watson defeated Joseph Duffy, Sevak Magakian defeated JJ Ambrose, Cody McKenzie defeated Amir Khillah, Dane Sayers defeated Ariel Sexton.
On this episode, fourteen lightweights that advanced goes to The Ultimate Fighter house and will fight in the first round. Selection of fighters for Team GSP and Team Koscheck will happen, expect Georges St-Pierre to trick Josk Koscheck at the team picks. The first preliminary fight of the season will also be chosen.
