Basketball star Shaquille O’Neal returns this 2010 for the second season of the Shaq Vs reality television show to be aired on ABC after the success of last year’s show.
Shaq Vs Season 2 will feature O’Neal once again as he claims that he’s the “the world’s greatest athlete” by challenging numerous top athletes in their own sports. But unlike the first season which relied mainly on sporting matches, Season 2 will also feature comedic non-sports competitions such as a spelling bee, dance battle, or magic act.
Shaquille O’Neal will battle out against Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in a NASCAR race, Shane Mosley in a boxing match, Las Vegas magic duo Penn & Teller by performing classic stage magic acts, national spelling bee champion Kavya Shivashankar in a spell-off, Joey Chestnut in a hot dog eating contest, chef and daytime tv host Rachael Ray in a cook-off, pop music artist Justin Bieber in a dance-off, Charles Barkley in a golf match and team-up with Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, Chris Johnson of the Tennessee Titans and DeSean Jackson of the Philadelphia Eagles against track and field sprinter Tyson Gay in a relay race.
The Shaq Vs. Season 2 features O’Neal as he faces rigorous training process as preparation for every weekly challenge. He will compete in both athletic and non-sports competition each week wherein on some episodes, he will take on two challengers. Prior to the challenge, he will negotiate a handicap with his opponent and train with a coach to level the playing field.
This reality television show will be divided into a series of episodes aired on ABC.
Episode 1 – Shaq vs Dale Earnhardt Jr premiere on August 3, 2010, Episode 2 – Shaq vs Shane Mosley; Shaq vs Penn and Teller on August 10, 2010, Episode 3 – Shaq vs Rachael Ray; Shaq vs Tyson Gay on August 17, 2010.
Episode 4 – Shaq vs Charles Barkley; Shaq vs Competitive Eating on August 24, 2010, Episode 5 – Shaq vs Justin Bieber; Shaq vs Jimmy Kimmel on August 31, 2010.
