After helping the Los Angeles Lakers win the 2010 NBA Finals most notably his Game 7 performance, Ron Artest will be coming to Manila, Philippines starting August 9 for a week-long visit.

Artest said that after his Beijing tour where he will promote the Chinese sports brand, Peak, he will head to Manila along with his sons Ron III and Jerron, publicist Heide Buech manager Ji Lee and three rap artists with his band called The World-Wide Warriors, according to media reports.

His son, Jerron, is half-Filipino. Artest expressed that he wants to meet his son’s Filipino relatives.

“I’m hoping to meet Jerron’s Filipino relatives,” said Artest. “His uncle is a music producer. Palma is his surname. I love all my four children. Jerron’s mother brought him up well.”

Ron Artest is set to do mall tours, autograph signing and television appearances, conduct basketball camps and promote his new rap song “Champion” with his band.
