Frankie Edgar beats BJ Penn via UD in Rematch on UFC 118

On the UFC 118: Edgar vs Penn 2 main card, Frankie Edgar sets to defend his UFC Lightweight championship belt against BJ Penn.

The Frankie Edgar vs BJ Penn 2 fight rematch video is set to take place on August 28, 2010 live at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and on PPV (Pay-Per-View).

Frankie Edgar, “The Answer“, from United States of America, the #1 Lightweight and the #4 pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world as ranked by Sherdog has a mixed martial arts record of 12 wins (2 by way of knock out, KO) and 1 loss. He currently holds the UFC Lightweight title.

While B.J. Penn, “The Prodigy” also from the United States of America, the #2 Lightweight and the #5 pound-for-pound MMA fighter in the world as ranked by Sherdog has a mixed martial arts record of 15 wins (6 by way of knock out), 6 losses and 1 draw. He’s a former UFC Welterweight and Lightweight Champion.

Both fighters’ last fight was against each other on UFC 112, April 2010. Edgar won over Penn via Unanimous Decision on Penn vs Edgar, they will have a rematch on this UFC 118.

The Edgar vs Penn 2 video rematch will be an Ultimate Fighting Championship title match with Edgar’s UFC belt at stake.

On their first fight, Penn came in as the huge favorite to win that fight, however, Edgar pulled a major upset and defeated him. After that bout, BJ congratulated the new champ and claimed that he hadn’t felt quite right in the octagon. A report arose from his camp, saying, “He was battling a sinus infection and was on anti-biotics.”

Their first fight was nominated in the “BEST UPSET” category in the recently concluded 2010 ESPYs. Can The Prodigy regain his title back from The Answer?
