The 2010 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement is scheduled to happen on August 13, 2010 at the Springfield Symphony Hall in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.
The Class of 2010 Basketball Hall of Fame inductees includes eight individuals and two teams. Each will give their speech.
Karl Malone and Scottie Pippen headline this year’s Hall of Fame Class for individual inductees while the 1992 USA Men’s Basketball team more popularly known as the “Dream Team” heads the team inductees.

Jerry Buss Hall of Fame speech – Contributor
- Owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. The man behind the Lakers’ dynasty.

Cynthia Cooper Hall of Fame speech – Player
- She is a former basketball player who has won championships in college, the Olympics, and in the WNBA with the Houston Comets. She is considered by many as one of the greatest women’s basketball players ever.

Honoring Dennis Johnson Hall of Fame speech – Player
- He was a former basketball player who has won championships in NBA, led the Seattle SuperSonics to become the 1979 NBA Champions and won two title more with the Boston Celtics. He is considered by several sports journalists to be one of the most underrated players of all time.

Honoring Gus Johnson Hall of Fame speech – Player
- He was one of the first dunk shot artists in the NBA. At 6′ 6″, 235-pounder combined an unusual blend of strength, jumping ability, and speed, he was one of the first forwards to frequently play above the rim.

Karl Malone Hall of Fame speech – Player
- He is a former basketball player who played in the NBA. He is a two-time NBA regular season MVP and has scored the second most points (36,928) in NBA history, trailing only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He is generally considered one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history.

Scottie Pippen Hall of Fame speech – Player
- He is a former basketball player who has won six championships in NBA with the Chicago Bulls. He is third on the list of most postseason games played, behind Robert Horry and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He is also the only person to have won both NBA championship and Olympic gold medal in the same year twice.
- He was presented by former Chicago Bulls teammate, Bobcats majority owner and Hall of Famer, Michael Jordan, who’s also the NBA 2k11 Cover Athlete.

Honoring 1960 USA Olympic Team Hall of Fame speech – Team
- Widely considered the greatest amateur team ever assembled; won the gold medal at the 1960 Summer Olympics with an 8-0 record and an average victory margin of over 42 points.

Robert “Bob” Hurley, Sr. Hall of Fame speech – Coach
- He is the basketball coach at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City, New Jersey. Hurley has amassed 23 state championships and more than 900 wins in 35 years as a coach, creating a national powerhouse despite substandard facilities and financial limitations.

Honoring Maciel “Ubiratan” Pereira Hall of Fame speech – Player
- He was a basketball player from Brazil. Often regarded as the greatest Brazilian center of all time, he won a total of 8 medals in Olympic Games, World Championships, and Pan American Games.
