If you watched the 2010 ESPY Awards ceremony, you’ll probably noticed the Old Spice’s viral commercial ad featuring this shirtless guy endorsing the classic deodorant company’s product.
He’s not just your ordinary man, he’s called the “Old Spice Guy”!
But who’s this guy? Here’s a brief info. The man on the commercial is Isaiah Mustafa, an American actor and former wide receiver in the NFL. He signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2000 as a rookie and eventually played for the Tennessee Oilers practice squad before playing in Barcelona of the NFL Europe.
Isaiah Mustafa became an overnight sensation in February 2010 during the Superbowl when the classic deoderant company’s ad video entitled, “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like,” debuted featuring him as the Old Spice Guy. Other videos of him soon followed.
Recently via Reddit.com in post entitled “The Old Spice Man Responds To The Internet” here, an instruction was given to the fans to post their questions online or send them via Twitter wherein Mustafa would answer the ones with most popular comments, his responses can be found here.
