The first half of the year 2010 already passed and it was a big one in boxing highlighted by the fights of two of the top boxers in this generation, Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr.

HBO Sports presented most of this year’s boxing matches and now compiled it in a video summary entitled HBO Boxing’s Greatest Hits 2010.

Gamboa vs Mtagwa – Yuriorkis Gamboa successfully defended his WBA World Featherweight title belt after defeating Rogers Mtagwa via Technical Knock Out in Round 2.

Luevano vs Lopez – Steven Luevano lost his WBO World Featherweight title belt after losing against Juan Manuel Lopez via Technical Knock Out in Round 7.

March 6 – Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA.

Alexander vs UrangoDevon Alexander knocked out Juan Urango in Round 8 to unify the WBC World Super Lightweight and IBF World Junior Welterweight title belts.

March 13 – Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA.

Pacquiao vs ClotteyManny Pacquiao successfully defended his WBO World Welterweight title belt after defeating Joshua Clottey via Unanimous Decision at The Event.

Caballero vs Yordan – Celestino Caballero won over Daud Yordan via Unanimous Decision.

Berto vs QuintanaAndre Berto successfully defended his WBC World Welterweight title belt after defeating Carlos Quintana via Technical Knock Out in Round 8.

April 17 – Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Bute vs Miranda – Lucian Bute successfully defended his IBF World Super Middleweight title belt after defeating Edison Miranda via Technical Knock Out in Round 3.

April 17 – Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA.

Pavlik vs Martinez – Kelly Pavlik lost his “Ring Magazine”, WBC and WBO World Middleweight title belts after losing against Sergio Martinez via Unanimous Decision.

April 24 – Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California USA.

Angulo vs Julio – Alfredo Angulo successfully defended his Interim WBO Junior Middleweight title belt after defeating Joel Julio via Technical Knock Out in Round 11 at Ring of Fire.

Arreola vs Adamek – Tomasz Adamek successfully defended his IBF International Heavyweight title belt after defeating Chris Arreola via Majority Decision at Ring of Fire.

May 1 – MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

Mayweather vs MosleyFloyd Mayweather, Jr. won over Shane Mosley via Unanimous Decision at Who R U Picking?.
