Here’s a recap on what happened on the TUF 11 ninth episode. Tito Ortiz revealed that his doctors advised him to undergo a neck surgery immediately because he’s regularly experiencing numbness in his limbs and severe headaches.

On the second quarterfinal match-up, Kris McCray defeated his close friend, Kyle Noke via Unanimous Decision while on the third quarterfinal bout, Brad Tavares defeated Seth Baczynski via 1st Round Disqualification by illegal soccer kick.

While Tavares was down on his knees, he was soccer kicked in the head by Baczynski as the buzzer sounded at the end of the first round. Tavares then face-planted after the hit, Baczynski immediately apologized to him but Brad clearly not knew what just happened as he responded, “for what?”.

Herb Dean ended the fight after consulting with the doctors and declared Tavares as the winner by DQ. This is the second time this season that such an event happened, the first one was on TUF 11 episode four.

The decision sparked Team Ortiz as they thought the kick caught Tavares in the armpit leading to an argument with Team Liddell.

After the incident, Dana White informed Liddell that Ortiz pulled out of their intended fight at UFC 115.

Look forward to checking your site out every week to watch the weekly TUF clip and get a good read on your updates. This season is full of drama and awesome/entertaining fights. Can’t wait to see what you have to say about ep 10! There may not be many Yager fans out there, but I respect the guy. People might think he talks too much, but THAT’S WHAT FIGHTERS DO! Plus-he’s in a hostile environment, so it is what it is. As far as his fight with Josh-lesson learnt. You win some, you lose some, but you grow as a fighter. Nothing to be ashamed of. Bigger picture-Josh is supposedly a more experienced fighter, has a tight ground game and knock-out power. Yager has like 4 or 5 fights & he hung with him! Matters fact, I don’t see how it went to a third round. On the inside, he threw some good knees to the body. On the outside, Yager was plugging him with leg kicks & straight kicks, straight punches & upper cuts, a few flying knees that didn’t quite connect, granted his hits may not have had as much power as Josh’s throws, but point-wise he shoulda took the first round and squeaked out the second round. Even with Josh’s sloppy take down and weak submission attempts, he was able to land some good up-kicks and peel out of a choke. Although Josh’s punches were effective, he only got a FEW connections compared to Yager’s. That should COUNT for something. I think if he wasn’t so gased after the first round, he probably woulda’ eventually taken both rounds. And finally, I think it was jacked up that Tito called him a quitter. Yager stopped when he felt his persons was at risk. How is that different from Tito calling off the fight? Difference is, at least Yager fought!!!!!
