Thirty-two teams, two stages, only one goal and that’s to be the 2010 FIFA World Cup Champions!

South Africa is the host country of the 19th FIFA World Cup.

It will be the first time that the premier international football tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa defeated Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process.

The 32 participating teams that will play this year were determined during the qualification draw last November 2007 then the team’s seeding for the 2010 FIFA World Cup bracket was finalized after the Final Draw last December.

Each soccer teams that are included in the 2010 FIFA World Cup bracket will undergo two exciting stages, the Group Stage and the Knockout Stage that includes four rounds; Round of 16, Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final.

The Italy national football team are the defending champions as they won the World Cup title last 2006. The adidas Jabulani will be used as this year’s official match ball.

    Was able to watch the last period of France and Uruguay match. It’s funny that the first two matches were tie. Wondering if there will be more tie matches??
