Here comes the Episode 9 of the UFC’s reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz featuring middleweight division mixed martial arts fighters after a successful airing of the eighth one last week.

The TUF Season 11 Episode 9 with a title of “Civilized Sport” is scheduled to air on May 26, 2010 on Spike TV.

Things are heating up as former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz are back on the reality television series, The Ultimate Fighter on its Season 11 as coaches for the Team Liddell and Team Ortiz fighters.

Here’s a recap on what happened on the TUF 11 eighth episode. Kyacey Uscola received the good news that his son was born. After that, the wildcards match between him and Kris McCray proceeded. McCray defeated Uscola via 2nd Round Submission by kimura in 59 seconds.

Dana White announced the quarter final matchups; Nick Ring vs. Court McGee, Kyle Noke vs. Kris McCray, Brad Tavares vs. Seth Baczynski and Jamie Yager vs. Josh Bryant.

Back in the Ultimate Fighter house, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Forrest Griffin, came by and invited them to play UFC Undisputed 2010.

Nick Ring was informed by a specialist that he’s required to undergo ACL reconstruction. Although he can still fight, he will have to decide if he wants to risk it. Ring withdrew, then James Hammortree stepped up to Dana White and said that he wants to fight. He got Dana’s approval to replace Nick.

Joe Henle was disappointed that Hammortree got the fight before him. Jamie Yager later yelled, “Closed Mouth Don’t Get Fed!”

For the first quarter final fight, McGee defeated Hammortree via 2nd Round Submission by guillotine choke in 28 seconds.

    Had so many opportunities to open up in ground position and in stand up. Was I missing something or were they being pathetic to protect each others faces because they were friends? Appreciate the fact that you have these videos here though… THANKS!
