You may be wondering what Paquita is all about and how it’s connected to the pound-for pound king, Manny Pacquiao.
During the early days of Pacquiao’s life, he dropped out of high school due to extreme poverty. His parents were separated and because his mother was not making enough money to support her six children, he left his home at the age of 14.
Pacquiao started professional boxing at the age of 16. One of the venues where he started training was at the L & M Boxing Gym located at Paquita Street in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines.
As his boxing career emerges, he fought the top boxers around the world and he captured seven world titles in as many weight divisions, the only boxer to do so. He rose to boxing super stardom but he never fails to look back on where he once started, at a local boxing gym in Paquita.
Currently, the L & M Boxing Gym is no longer there. Because Paquita is one of the significant places for Manny Pacquiao, he bought the gym and put up a building.
The MP Towers located at Paquita Street in Sampaloc, Manila now stood there as one of his businesses. Here’s a glimpse of the tower if you’re curious on what it looks like.

You can visit the MP Towers at Paquita if ever you’re in Manila, Philippines.
