Margarito suffered three losses early on his professional career, however, he went into a winning streak that picked up his career. He won his first world title when he defeated Antonio Diaz last March 2002 for the vacant WBO World Welterweight belt.

He won his second title when he defeated IBF World Welterweight Champion, Kermit Cintron in a rematch last April 2008. On their first meeting, Margarito successfully defended his WBO belt against Cintron.

The IBF ordered him to defend his belt against Joshua Clottey, the organization’s number-one contender whom Margarito had previously defeated in 2006. Instead of agreeing for a rematch, he vacated his IBF belt and agreed to fight undefeated WBA World Welterweight Champion, Miguel Cotto. He won the Cotto vs Margarito and captured the WBA title, his third belt.

As the newly promoted WBA World Welterweight Super Champion, he faced Shane Mosley in Margarito vs Mosley. Before the bout started, Margarito’s team got caught in a hand wraps controversy. Antonio lost his belt via 9th Round TKO. A few weeks later, the California State Athletic Commission revoked his license for a year.

A year after that, still without a license to fight in America, he fought Roberto Garcia in Margarito vs Garcia at Mexico wherein he won by Unanimous Decision.

After the second negotiation for the mega bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather, Jr. failed to materialize once again, Margarito was chosen as Pacquiao’s next opponent. The state of Texas granted him a license so the match was held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas.

On November 13, 2010, he lost badly via Unanimous Decision in the Pacquiao vs Margarito. His face was bruised, cut and suffered a broken orbital bone that required surgery but good thing is that the procedure was successful.

Featured on this Antonio Margarito Greatest Hits boxing video are his matches against boxing stars; Paul Williams, Golden Johnson, Kermit Cintron, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Manny Pacquiao.
