Before the May 1, 2010 boxing match between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Shane Mosley, Golden Boy Promotions partners appeared as guests on the Lopez Tonight show.
On that episode, George Lopez interviewed Mosley and De La Hoya about the possible highest grossing fight ever between Mayweather and Mosley breaking the De La Hoya-Mayweather record.
Shane Mosley gave his views about Floyd’s abilities and how he will beat him and then he stated that May 1st will be Mayweather’s first loss because he will knock Floyd out.
Oscar De La Hoya and Mosley also shared about them as boxing business partners and their childhood relationship as they grow up. They also discussed some points about the Olympic style testing, and Manny Pacquiao‘s refusal for the blood test.
Oscar said that Mayweather and Mosley wants to show the world that boxing is a clean sport with clean athletes, and so if Pacquiao didn’t want to do it, it’s his own issue.
Highlighting the show was when George Lopez suggested if they can get Mayweather to wear a pair of blue boxing shoes with the logo of Lopez Tonight on the bottom of it so that when he can see the logo in the biggest moment in boxing history when Shane Mosley knocks out Floyd.
