Edwin Valero from Venezuela was an undefeated southpaw boxer who fought in the super featherweight and lightweight divisions. He was a former WBA World Super Featherweight and a former WBC World Lightweight Champion.
The Venezuelan boxing star was also known as “El Inca” and “Dinamita”. Valero’s professional boxing record was a perfect 27 wins (27 by way of knock out, KO).
The Edwin Valero greatest hits boxing video contains some highlights from his professional boxing career.
Valero set a new world record by winning his first 18 professional fights by way of First Round knockout on February 25, 2006 (but the record has already been broken by Tyrone Brunson last August 15, 2008 with 19 straight). Prior to this, the record for consecutive first-round knockouts was 15 set by Young Otto in 1905.
El Inca’s total career first-round knockouts was 19 and he is the only fighter in the 30 years of the WBC to win every fight in his career by knockout.
Recently, Valero took his own life in his jail cell hours after he was arrested for allegations in relation to the death of his wife, Jennifer Carolina Viera according to media sources.

Valero expressed his desire to fight Manny Pacquiao on the boxing ring for the past few years. According to boxing sources, their promoters are already planning a Pacquiao-Valero bout in the near future but his unfortunate death made this fight just a dream.

It’s a shame we didn’t get to see him further his career. Although I don’t agree with the actions he took the frustration over his wife, it would’ve been an interesting career to say the least, especially with his record and performance in the ring as a KO King.

I agree with that. For the past few years, he became more and more popular because of his exciting style of boxing. He even won the WBC World Lightweight title as he moved up in weight.
Sadly, the Pacquiao vs Valero boxing match will not happen anymore as he already left this world. That fight might have been the most exciting boxing match in history.
