Twenty-eight promising middleweight class mixed martial arts fighters will compete on the new season of the the reality television series produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, The Ultimate Fighter.
TUF Season 11 is entitled as The Ultimate Fighter: Team Liddell vs Team Ortiz. Two former UFC Light Heavyweight Champions will coach opposing teams. They are; Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, both champions already fought each other on previous UFC events so expect their match-up on this show to be a burning one that’s hot to handle.
The Ultimate Fighter reality show gives professional MMA fighters that have yet to make a big name for themselves a chance to shine by competing with each other for the prized title of “The Ultimate Fighter” accompanied by a six-figure, multi-fight contract with the UFC.
TUF 11 features a new “wildcard” format in which the two coaches will pick two fighters who lost their preliminary bouts to face each other for the eighth spot in the quarter-finals. During the past seasons, 16 or 32 fighters were involved but this time, 28 middleweight class fighters will compete.
The UFC special TV mixed martial arts reality show will be divided into a series of episodes aired on Spike TV.
Episode 1 – Smashed Up premiere will be aired on March 31, 2010 at 10PM ET/PT on Spike TV after UFC Fight Night 21.
Episode 2 – Suck It Up on April 7, 2010, Episode 3 – A Lotta Heart on April 14, 2010, Episode 4 – Clown Box on April 21, 2010, Episode 5 – If It Breathes, It Bleeds on April 28, 2010.
Episode 6 – Did Your Dizzle on May 5, 2010, Episode 7 – Coming For Blood on May 12, 2010, Episode 8 – Closed Mouth Don’t Get Fed on May 19, 2010, Episode 9 – Civilized Sport on May 26, 2010.
Episode 10 – Shocked and Awed on June 2, 2010, Episode 11 – A Will to Win on June 9, 2010 and Episode 12 – Road to the Finale on June 16, 2010.
