Back in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, Vince Carter performed one of the best slam dunk posterization in basketball history that’s recorded on video.

Carter dunked over 7 feet 2 inches (2.18 meters) French center Frederic Weis when the United States of America Basketball Team played against France’s National Team.

It happened when the 6’6″ (1.98 m) Vince Carter (VC) stole the ball, drove to the basket, leaped, spread his legs in mid-air over the 7’2″ Weis and ferociously slam dunked the ball posterizing the French center.

VC’s USA teammate Jason Kidd said that it was “One of the best plays I’ve ever seen,” referring to Vince Carter dunk over Frederic Weiss.

The United States of America won that game over France with a final score of 85-75. The French media dubbed Carter’s slam dunk over Weis as “le dunk de la mort” that means “the dunk of death.”

The USA Basketball Team went on to win the Gold Medal in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
