Manny Pacquiao has been dominating his bigger opponents in the past few years with his power packed, lightning quick punches in every unexpected angles that threw boxers David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto off their feet.

And recently, Pacquiao showed everyone a move that hasn’t been done in a professional boxing fight somewhat like Pacquiao is on a Street Fighter game.

On the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight last March 13 at the Cowboys Stadium, the pound-for-pound king unleashed the mythical double punch better known as the “pompyang” cymbals punch around 1:36 of the 4th Round.

Pacquiao’s pompyang punch didn’t cause much damage to Clottey but it gave the one-sided match an instant boost of entertainment from the the Pac-Man.

The pompyang move is a double open-palm strikes to the ears resembling the clapping of cymbals. It is a trademark move popularized by the late Filipino Actor, Fernando “Da King” Poe, Jr. used in most of his action movie fight scenes. Coach Freddie Roach said that he knows this move because he always see this on their training sessions.
